Control and Measurement System
The 50kN UTM - Universal Testing Machine TTM-50 features the advanced DSC-10TT full-digital closed-loop control system for precise force measurement, data acquisition, and test control. The computer-based system monitors the entire testing process while providing real-time test curve visualization and efficient data processing.
After each test, users can enlarge and review test curves for detailed analysis. The integrated graphical processing module also allows data editing, comparison, and further evaluation. Designed for accuracy, reliability, and efficient operation, the system supports standardized material testing in accordance with applicable ISO, ASTM, and DIN standards.

Advanced Control and Measurement Features
1. Advanced Closed-Loop Control
The control system supports closed-loop control for displacement, deformation, and speed. Testing speed and control methods can be adjusted in real time, providing greater flexibility for different material testing requirements.
2. Comprehensive Multi-Layer Protection
Integrated software and hardware protection functions help ensure safe and reliable operation. The system provides protection against overload, overcurrent, overpressure, undervoltage, overspeed, and crosshead limit exceedance.
3. High-Resolution Data Acquisition
The system includes three high-speed 24-bit A/D conversion channels for accurate signal acquisition. With an effective resolution of ±1/300,000, it delivers consistent measurement precision throughout the testing process.
4. Reliable Data Communication
USB and serial communication interfaces provide stable and interference-resistant data transmission between the testing machine and computer system.
5. Advanced Signal Processing
Three pulse signal capture channels are available, including one channel for displacement measurement and two channels for deformation measurement. Quadruple-frequency technology improves pulse counting accuracy, with a maximum capture frequency of up to 5 MHz.
6. High-Precision Servo Motor Control
The digital servo motor control system supports PWM output frequencies ranging from 0.01 Hz to 5 MHz, providing precise speed regulation and stable crosshead movement.
Key Benefits of the Control and Measurement System
1. Advanced DSC-10TT Control System
The DSC-10TT full-digital closed-loop control system is designed specifically for universal testing machines and material testing applications. It combines advanced servo motor control technology with multi-channel data acquisition and processing capabilities to support high-speed sampling, precise control, and stable system performance.
Its hardware-based architecture helps improve operational reliability and supports consistent long-term testing performance.
2. High-Performance Control Platform
The DSC-10TT system combines DSP and MCU technologies, integrating high-speed data processing with efficient I/O control. Built-in motor control functions, including PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) and QEI (Quadrature Encoder Interface), support precise motor operation, position monitoring, and stable machine control.
This integrated architecture supports fast processing and reliable operation during a wide range of material tests.
3. Parallel Sampling and Synchronous Data Acquisition
A dedicated ASIC chip supports synchronous sampling of load and deformation signals. This hardware-based parallel sampling method helps minimize timing differences between measurement channels, improving the consistency and accuracy of load and deformation data.
4. High-Precision Position Signal Filtering
The optical encoder position capture module features a 24-stage hardware filtering system for processing pulse signals and reducing the effects of electrical interference. This supports accurate position tracking and stable pulse signal capture throughout the testing process.
5. Optimized Control Function Processing
Specialized ASIC chips handle peripheral functions such as data sampling and condition monitoring, allowing the main processor to focus on PID (Proportional-Integral-Derivative) control calculations.
This architecture supports:
-
Faster system response
-
Stable and reliable closed-loop control
-
Real-time control adjustments
-
Efficient processing and testing performance
The integrated control architecture provides the precision, stability, and efficiency required for demanding material testing applications.
Performance Characteristics of the DSC-10TT System
The DSC-10TT control and measurement system features a Windows-based user interface with real-time curve display, graphical data processing, and flexible test management functions. Its modular software structure supports convenient configuration and efficient operation.
Test data can be stored and managed through an MS Access database, allowing convenient integration with Microsoft Office applications for data management, analysis, and reporting.
User Access and Testing Management
The system includes multi-level user authority management, with access permissions determined during login. A super administrator can manage user permissions and assign specific operational functions to different users.
The testing management system allows users to configure measurement units and create customized test programs based on applicable testing standards and requirements. During testing, users can monitor equipment status, control program steps, extensometer operation, and other test parameters in real time.
Advanced Curve Analysis
The software supports multiple test curve formats, including:
-
Load-deformation curves
-
Load-time curves
-
Other configurable test curves
Multiple test curves can be displayed and compared in real time for efficient sample analysis. Users can enlarge specific sections for detailed evaluation, mark characteristic points, and select points manually or automatically for comparison.
Curves with marked feature points can also be included in test reports.
Data Storage, Retrieval, and Backup
Test data is automatically stored to help reduce the risk of data loss during unexpected interruptions. A flexible search function allows users to retrieve test results based on different criteria and compare data from different testing periods and batches.
The system also includes data backup capabilities to support secure long-term data storage and convenient access to previous test records.
Reporting and Data Integration
The DSC-10TT software supports integration with Microsoft Office applications, allowing test reports to be saved in Word or Excel formats. Original test data can also be accessed for further material research, analysis, and evaluation.
Automatic Test Result Calculation
The system supports automatic calculation of key mechanical parameters, including:
ReH, ReL, Rp0.2, Fm, Rt0.5, Rt0.6, Rt0.65, Rt0.7, Rm, and E.
Users can configure the required parameters and display the calculated results in customized test reports.
Automatic Extensometer Switching
The automatic extensometer removal function detects the yield point and switches data collection from deformation measurement to displacement measurement when required. Once the switching process is complete, the system provides a notification, allowing the extensometer to be removed at the appropriate stage of the test.
Automatic Return and Calibration
After testing is complete, the movable crosshead can automatically return to its initial position. The system also supports automatic calibration of load and elongation measurements according to predefined calibration requirements.
Full-Range Measurement and Modular Hardware Design
The measurement system operates across the full measurement range without range classification, providing greater flexibility during different testing procedures.
Its modular electrical hardware design supports convenient accessory replacement, system expansion, and maintenance. The automatic switching function can also adjust the displayed test curve according to changes in test force and deformation, supporting clearer real-time monitoring throughout the test.
