Theory and Method
Bed height plays an important role in patient safety and caregiver ergonomics. Working with a bed that is too low can require repeated bending during washing, dressing, repositioning, and transfers, increasing physical strain. Conversely, a higher sleeping surface can increase the distance a patient may fall. ToronCare™ 5086 addresses both requirements with an electric scissor-lift system. The deck adjusts from 240 mm above the floor for a lower resting position to 640 mm for a more accessible working height, allowing caregivers to adjust the bed according to the task.
Whole-bed tilt changes the patient's position relative to gravity and can provide additional options for prescribed clinical positioning. Trendelenburg positioning places the head lower than the feet, while reverse Trendelenburg raises the head relative to the feet. These positions may be used for specific clinical applications, including postural drainage and other positioning requirements, under appropriate professional guidance. ToronCare™ 5086 provides up to 12° of tilt in either direction, allowing controlled adjustment through the bed's powered controls.

Return Policy:
Torontech WorldWide may accept return of purchased merchandise within North America for refund or credit under the following conditions -
- There may be an additional restocking fee charged to the transaction if items are already shipped to customer.
- Goods must be returned to Torontech WorldWide within 5 days of the date of the receipt of the purchased goods.
- All freight, duties, customs, and other related shipping charges for the returned merchandise are borne by the purchaser. Shipments made freight collect will be refused.
