Manual Transfer Stretcher
The ToronCare™ 1130 Manual Transfer Stretcher is a full-featured hospital stretcher designed for efficient patient transport in hospitals, clinics, and other healthcare facilities. Its integrated polymer utility tray provides convenient storage for medical supplies, medications, and patient belongings, combining transport functionality with practical built-in storage.
The easy-to-clean, integrally blow-molded PP bed board and matching polypropylene construction across patient-contact surfaces support efficient cleaning and routine infection-control procedures. This durable construction also helps reduce maintenance requirements, making the ToronCare™ 1130 a practical solution for demanding clinical environments.
Designed for reliable hospital stretcher transport, the ToronCare™ 1130 features a manual scissor-lift crank, central-locking 360° castors, a retractable 5th wheel, and multifunctional rotary PP side rails. The side rails provide clinical functionality comparable to the arm-board-capable rail system of the ToronCare™ 1110 B. When positioned horizontally over an adjacent surface, the rails can also provide a convenient platform for IV administration support, allowing healthcare professionals to maintain IV access during patient transport without additional accessories.
With overall dimensions of 1970 × 685 mm and a net weight of 67 kg, the ToronCare™ 1130 offers a compact solution for high-throughput healthcare settings. It is suitable for patient transfer and stretcher transport in day-surgery units, endoscopy suites, outpatient procedure centers, and emergency departments throughout U.S. and Canadian healthcare facilities.

Theory and Method
The ToronCare™ 1130 Manual Transfer Stretcher uses a manual crank-operated scissor-lift mechanism to adjust the bed height from 281 to 509 mm, measured from the bed board to the ground. Its 281 mm minimum height is the lowest in the ToronCare™ stretcher range, helping facilitate patient boarding from a seated position and supporting compatibility with low-height procedure tables.
The integrated utility tray is permanently positioned beneath the main bed frame and can be accessed from the foot end and both sides of the stretcher. The tray is blow-molded from the same medical-grade PP material as the bed board, providing resistance to hospital-grade disinfectants and supporting straightforward cleaning. Its integrated construction minimizes joints and seams where contaminants could accumulate.
The multifunctional rotary PP side rails operate using a design similar to the ToronCare™ 1110 B. The rails pivot outward and can be positioned horizontally at bed-board level, where they rest on an adjacent surface to create a stable platform for the patient's arm. This configuration supports procedures such as IV cannulation, anesthesia administration, and blood pressure monitoring, reducing the need for a separate adjustable arm-board accessory in many clinical applications.
