Hydraulic Transfer Stretcher

The ToronCare™ 1150 A is an enhanced version of the ToronCare™ 1150 hydraulic stretcher, offering additional patient positioning capabilities for acute care, emergency, and surgical environments. With knee gatch, chair positioning, and an optional larger-diameter castor configuration, this hydraulic transfer stretcher provides greater flexibility for patient transport, examination, treatment, and recovery.

The ToronCare™ 1150 A incorporates a double hydraulic height-adjustment system operated by foot pedals positioned on both sides of the stretcher. This configuration allows caregivers to raise or lower the stretcher from either side while supporting efficient patient handling and transport. The radiolucent X-ray-compatible bed board allows diagnostic imaging to be performed while the patient remains on the stretcher, helping reduce unnecessary patient transfers during hospital workflows.

For patient positioning, the ToronCare™ 1150 A provides a knee gatch adjustment from 0° to 53°, backrest articulation from 0° to 68°, and Trendelenburg and reverse Trendelenburg positioning from 0° to 12°. Its chair-position configuration allows the hydraulic hospital stretcher to transition into a reclining chair arrangement, supporting patient recovery, examination, and treatment procedures.

The multifunctional rotary PP side rails can be lowered horizontally to provide a practical arm-support surface for IV administration. Integrated push handles assist caregivers during stretcher transportation, while the hydraulic system provides controlled height adjustment for different clinical and transfer requirements.

An optional 150 mm castor configuration is available, providing an adjusted height range of 817 to 590 mm for facilities where additional clearance considerations are required. With a total weight of 112 kg, the ToronCare™ 1150 A combines hydraulic height adjustment, radiolucent imaging capability, and multiple patient positioning functions in a single hospital emergency stretcher platform.

Transfer Stretcher (Hydraulic) — ToronCare™ 1150 A Applications

  • Emergency Departments: Suitable for hospital emergency stretcher applications requiring versatile hydraulic positioning for different patient care scenarios.

  • Radiology Departments: The X-ray translucent bed board supports diagnostic imaging while the patient remains on the stretcher, reducing the need for patient transfers.

  • Pre- and Post-Operative Care: Chair-position and semi-recumbent configurations support patient positioning during pre-operative preparation and post-operative recovery.

  • IV Therapy and Anesthesia Preparation: Multifunctional rotary PP side rails can be positioned horizontally as arm boards, providing practical support during IV access and anesthesia preparation.

  • Cardiac, Respiratory, and Post-Surgical Care: Knee gatch and adjustable backrest positioning support patients who require elevated or flexed positioning during medical stretcher transport.

  • Ambulatory Surgery Centers: Provides a single stretcher hospital platform for patient transport, treatment, examination, and recovery.

  • Acute and General Clinical Care: Suitable for healthcare environments requiring a hydraulic hospital stretcher with chair positioning, knee gatch, Trendelenburg, and reverse Trendelenburg functions.

Transfer Stretcher (Hydraulic) — ToronCare™ 1150 A Key Features

  • Double Hydraulic System: Foot-pedal-operated hydraulic adjustment from both sides of the stretcher eliminates the need for manual cranking and supports efficient height positioning.

  • Comprehensive Patient Positioning: Backrest adjusts from 0° to 68°, knee gatch from 0° to 53°, and Trendelenburg/reverse Trendelenburg from 0° to 12°. A chair-position configuration provides additional flexibility for patient care and recovery.

  • Adjustable Height Range: Standard bed-board-to-ground height ranges from 867 to 640 mm. An optional 150 mm castor configuration provides an adjusted range of 817 to 590 mm.

  • Multifunctional Rotary PP Side Rails: Side rails can fold horizontally to serve as arm boards, providing support for IV access or anesthesia administration during stretcher transport.

  • Radiolucent Bed Board: The X-ray translucent bed board allows diagnostic imaging to be performed directly on the stretcher, reducing the need to transfer the patient to another imaging surface.

  • Push Handles: Handles at both the head and foot ends support controlled stretcher transportation and maneuverability, including movement in confined clinical spaces.

  • Central-Lockable Swivel Castors: Standard 200 mm diameter 360° swivel castors provide smooth maneuverability, with a retractable 5th directional wheel for improved directional control.

  • Bilateral Brake and Pedal Access: Brake and hydraulic pedal controls are accessible from both sides, allowing caregivers to operate height adjustment and castor locking without moving around the stretcher.

  • Bed Board Dimensions: 1962 × 633 mm (L × W).

  • Net Weight: 112 kg.

  • Standard Accessory: IV pole included as standard.

Theory and Method

The ToronCare™ 1150 A uses a double hydraulic system with foot-pedal controls accessible from both sides of the stretcher. This system provides controlled height adjustment across a range of 867 to 640 mm from the bed board to the ground. An optional 150 mm castor configuration adjusts the floor-to-bed-board range to 817 to 590 mm, supporting use with lower-height receiving surfaces.

The hydraulic mechanism supports the stretcher's primary patient positioning functions, including backrest adjustment from 0° to 68°, knee gatch adjustment from 0° to 53°, and Trendelenburg/reverse Trendelenburg positioning from 0° to 12°. The chair-position configuration coordinates backrest elevation and knee gatch adjustment to create a seated or semi-seated posture. This allows the hydraulic transfer stretcher to support examination, treatment, and patient recovery without requiring the patient to move to a separate reclining chair.

The multifunctional rotary PP side rails pivot outward and can be positioned horizontally at bed level to provide an arm-board surface for procedures such as IV insertion, blood sampling, or medication administration during stretcher transport. Push handles at both the head and foot ends provide caregiver access from either direction, supporting controlled movement through hospital corridors, elevators, and other confined clinical areas.
